As you approach the NT Coliseum, the loud sounds of hip-hop music boom through the night air. Coed groups, dressed in their most stylish attire, move toward the line of people that extends into an L-shaped curve outside the Coliseum.
You try to find a parking spot that doesn't require a shuttle bus, then quickly get out of your car to save yourself a place in line. As you get closer to the stadium men in gold shoes and women in red with elephant pins on their shirts -- symbolizing their respective organizations -- congregate near another entrance.
At the epicenter of all the excitement: the 34th annual Greek Explosion.
Held every spring by the members of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority, the yearly step show brings in an average of 4,000 spectators.
